This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of Mirka’s Azure Databricks platform and help shape the future of our data architecture, analytics, and AI capabilities.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will help develop and maintain Mirka’s data platform with a focus on structure, standardization, and scalability. You will work closely with the Data & Analytics Manager, acting as the technical counterpart responsible for the platform’s architecture and technical development.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Databricks architecture, including lakehouse structure and modeling standards

• Integration patterns from source systems to analytics tools

• Machine learning and AI on Databricks

• Strengthening governance, security, and access management

• Enabling self-service analytics through harmonized and scalable data models

We are looking for someone with:

• Work experience with Databricks and lakehouse/medallion architecture

• Strong skills in data modeling

• Experience with integration patterns from source systems to analytics solutions

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and access management

• Ability to design end-to-end data flows and define technical standards

• Strong experience in SQL, Python and Cloud fundamentals

As a person, you have strong systems thinking, a long-term perspective, and the confidence to make technical decisions. You are hands-on when needed, but motivated by structure, scalability, and continuous improvement. You also have a genuine interest in analytics and data-driven development.

Fluent English is required. Swedish and Finnish are considered a plus.
