Job description
Do you want to take part in shaping the development of the power tools of the future?
We are now looking for a Development Engineer, Software.
You will work with embedded software and/or electronics development for power tools. You will work with the implementation and development of tailored made software for embedded systems. You will contribute and play an active role in the development of the Tools product portfolio.
You will work in cooperation with our other development team, which consists of engineers within mechanics, materials technology, and design. You will also collaborate with other teams within Mirka as well as with component suppliers.
As a person, you work well in a team. You are innovative, open to new ideas, and take a structured approach to problem solving. You have hands-on experience using power tools and possess a good sense of what constitutes a practical and functional solution.

Job requirements
We expect the suitable candidate to possess many of the following qualifications and skills:
Technical degree (B.Sc. or higher)
Embedded systems programmed in C
Understanding of microcontrollers
Power electronics
Analog and digital electronics
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
Wireless connection module HW/SW
Understanding of electronics for motor control applications
Excellent problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Visual Basic .NET and other programming languages
Ability to interpret and understand standards
