Do you want to take part in shaping the development of the power tools of the future?
We are now looking for a Development Manager, Electronics/Software.
Your role will be to lead, with line management responsibility, the team that develops the electronics and software used across Mirka’s Power Tools product portfolio. The team consists of specialists in electronics and software and also plays an active role in the development of the complete tool. You will also be responsible for developing efficient working methods and processes for your team.
You will work in close cooperation with our other development team, which consists of engineers within mechanics, materials technology, and design. You will also collaborate closely with other teams within Mirka as well as with component suppliers and partners around the world.
As a person, you work well in a team and have a strong ability to see the bigger picture. You are innovative, open to new ideas, and take a structured approach to problem solving. You have hands-on experience using power tools and possess a good sense of what constitutes a practical and functional solution.

Job requirements
We expect the suitable candidate to possess many of the following qualifications and skills:
Technical degree (B.Sc. or higher)
Power electronics
Analog and digital electronics
Electronic simulation
Embedded systems programmed in C
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
Understanding of electronics for motor control applications
Excellent problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Visual Basic .NET and other programming languages
Ability to interpret and understand standards
