Are you interested to work with testing in a R&D environment in our laboratories in Jeppo? We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our Mirka Power Tools team, where we develop and produce the best power tools in the industry.

 

In our test laboratories in Jeppo we perform different types of tests on components, sub-systems and products to provide answers to different stakeholders within the Mirka organization. We test products to ensure that our developed products meet customer expectations and fulfill our high-quality standards. The test cases are many times one off tests with complex set-ups where the laboratory personnel are working in all parts of the testing process with everything from equipment planning, executing test cases as well as writing reports and highlighting possible issues and improvements. We have modern and comprehensive facilities and equipment at our disposal and a big team on-site that support in different technical areas.

 

Your role:

In this position you will work as part of the test team. Your main task in this position is to design, develop and execute test cases with focus on electrical Power Tools, sub-systems and components. You will participate in the development of new test methods, design test equipment and perform failure and root cause analysis on components and products.   

 

As a person you are a true team player eager to learn new things. You preferably have a background or strong interest in the field of electronics and/or mechanics and a will to develop further within this role. You have a structured approach to solving problems, ability to see the big picture and strong practical and hands on skills.

 

What we’re looking for: 

In this position we regard the following qualifications and skills as strengths:

  • Technical education (B.Eng. or M.Sc. or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Strong interest in technology with emphasis on the field related to electronics and/or mechanics

  • Experience from engineering related duties

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Motivation and readiness to learn new things

  • Good team working abilities, but also to be able to independently work on own assignments

  • Good English and Swedish or Finnish language skills, spoken and written

  • Programming skills
